Their unexpected dreams came true

The 3rd of August is a special celebratory day for Augustine. He remembered the day he met with the white lady who changed his fortune from grass to grace. When he felt settled for life, he thought it wise to give thanks to goodness.

It was on the 3rd of August, 2002 that Augustine encountered this lady. He had been managing life in a wretched mechanic shed where this lady came for a repair of some faulty parts. Augustine was exact in his work. He gave this lady a “wonderful” service that she was overwhelmed by his devotion and expertise. He handled complex cases with ease. When the work was over, she felt that she can be of help to this poorly abandoned genius. She collected his contact address without making him think a pin of what she had for him. Days rolled into weeks and weeks into months without Augustine having sight of this fair lady. He had thought that the lady would be coming soon for subsequent services, at least, he could do with her extra payment. He could remember it was not such a new thing to hear but the only difference is that she showed a special kind of interest and trust. She had promised before she left that she would be coming soon for some other works. Augustine was glad and had been waiting.

Well, the next time this lady visited Augustine after many months, she came in another fashion. Augustine was jittery at first. He could not make out the meaning of this band that came with the lady in ash coloured Pajero Jeep. They were all in suits and smartly dressed like special agents. Augustine was having the fear of what the problem may be or suppose it was for good, how can he express himself before these gentlemen. But his fear does not worth it because all the talking was made by the lady. Firstly, she introduced herself to Augustine as a special assistant to the Manager of a department in a Shell company. At the moment, the manager was on vacation and she handles cases that require urgent attention. As the case may be, the department had urgent need of an automobile expert and she felt that he(Augustine) could be of help as she had watched her with keen interest while he worked for her a few months ago. She also told him that the length of days she delayed was all to meet with all the necessary demands that were pertinent before employment and to notify the manager. She gave her name as Miss Sandra Ruggeri. She introduced the company with her as agents and co-workers. She also added or rather complimented on his name, saying that they will not find it difficult to pronounce at any time and anywhere. Augustine did not know what exactly to do. Was he to start jumping up and down in happiness? What exactly is the meaning of this favour? Well, time shall tell.

The day he started work coincided with the day she came to him first. He started very well. He handles complex issues with less effort. In fact, God was with him. As a young man, he was very humble and respectful. He won the admiration of almost all the fair skins there. The love him and he serves them with all amount of respect while retaining his integrity. He was devoted and was paid handsomely. Before the first year rushed through, he had made a considerable sum of money, thanks to the generosity of the lady. She was very fond of him and had often come to be with him in his “office”. They discuss issues concerning their private lives. She was very open to him and once told him that she had deliberately called off marrying because of the shock she received from a rapist while she was just twelve. Since then, she loathes the approaches made by several men for either friendship or marriage. For her, anything in trousers is devilish and brutish. She in one occasion confessed that she came to him because he looked harmless and sincerely friendly. Six months later, Augustine was united to Sandra. Today both live together as husband and wife. Their unexpected dreams came true, with love and more: sharing their joys and sorrows. They can already foresee many bright tomorrows.
