Ascribe meaning to LOVE

Can we ascribe meaning to love
except we gather in ourselves
the sense of well-being that comes
with the beauty of our existence?

Love is a joy. It is an unlimited affection;
Love is mercy. It restores hope to the helpless;
Love is self-sacrificing. Everything seems brighter in love;
Love is the desire of every human.

Love can lift a man to the top of his being
to either experience poverty or wealth.
The greatest of all adventure for love
is to lay down one’s life for another.

Love is not selfish. Love is the fulfilment of God’s law;
God called us to love Him and to love one another;
No gift is more valuable than love;
Love comes from God.

Imagine the imploring eyes of a beggar
seeking love – his most necessity
with his hands outstretched to the passers-by:
For such poor love, the noble may not stop and wait.

Like a despised beggar at the palace gate,
His prayer may be denied;
As the monarchs scatter gold in merriment,
The poor beggar seeks only a smile to suit his worries.

Though clouds obscure the ways of the poor,
Yet the stars and the moon whispers hope to him.
There is no waste in giving love to the needy:
More blessed it is than to receive.

Love must endure all human conditions,
We cannot love one another if we do not love God.
Let us set the tiny torch of our best love
ascribed in the great sunshine of God’s love.
