Fools dwell in their own paradise
Blinded by illusions, they wander
With rose-coloured glasses on their faces
They don't see the truth, in this enchanted place
The whisper of the sky lulls them to sleep
The promises of gold, they last forever
But alas, it's all just a mirage
A delusion of the mind, a false barrier
They dance on clouds, in their dreamland
Ignorant of the shifting sands
For nothing is real in this fool's paradise
And yet they cling to what they feel
In this world there is no room for pain
No darkness, no sorrow, no effort
But without the bad, how can we appreciate the good?
Fools have forgotten this simple truth
They chase after happiness, in vain
For it can never be caught, like a passing train
And in their pursuit they lose sight
The beauty in the ups and downs of life, so bright
But still they stay in their paradise
Where everything is perfect, in their eyes
They may be fools, but who are we to judge?
For in their delusion they find solace and refuge.
